Description

The Victron 24V MultiPlus-II 3kVA has a 94% efficiency rating and a 13W idle draw. With a built-in PowerAssist, the inverter can help out when the AC input fails by drawing on the battery. Or if needed, completely switch off the grid and run solely on battery power. In an on-grid scenario, the ESS mode allows for grid-sellback functionality.

The 24V MultiPlus-II offers clean uninterrupted power to keep your devices running. Being able to be used in a UPS function with less than 20 millisecond transfer time, all that is needed is to turn the setting on. This functionality makes the 24V MultiPlus-II line good for both mobile and residential systems.

Question:

What is the difference between this version and the 2x functionality wise. Which would be best to have?

Answer:

The 2x120v model is ideal for RVs that have a 2-pole 50a service and need the transfer switch to accommodate the second feed. If you are installing the inverter with a single-pole shore connection, the 120v model would be sufficient, however, if you have a 2 pole connection and need an inverter that can handle 1-pole and 2-pole connections, the 2x120v model is what you need. Every application is different so there is not a single "best" option. If you plan to use the inverters in series for split phase 120/240v then you would want the single 120v version.

Question:

Hello. If I buy 2 Victron Multiplus 24volt 3 KVA unit's and run them independent of each other so sometimes I can have one unit off when I'm not using a lot of power. will I need to buy 2 bluetooth smart dongle's to use the Victron Connect app and be able to control and see both units with one dongle or will I need to buy 2 dongles?

Answer:

It requires two dongles if operating stand alone. If operating in parallel or split phase only one dongle is needed.
