This new SOK 12-slot rack has built-in slots for heaters and/or AC units, allowing for easy control of the temperature inside the rack. With a sturdy design, it is easy to attach inverters on the outside for easier installation.

  • The base is notched to allow easy placement with a forklift or pallet jack
  • Gasket-sealed doors with keyed locks have provisions for a heat pump cooler/heater  (sold separately)
  • Insulated with flame-proof insulation to keep heating and cooling load minimal
  • Centrally located positive and negative bus bars to make wiring simple and safe
  • Cabling for 12 SK48v100 batteries is included with each rack
  • No-knockout design allows installers to punch holes only where needed

This 12-slot outdoor battery rack is the first of its kind featuring an insulated NEMA4 enclosure with provisions in the doors for highly efficient heat pump cooler/heaters.  While some battery manufacturers opt to make their batteries more complicated by installing the heaters within the batteries, SOK keeps it simple by controlling the environment the batteries are placed in instead.

This looks very well designed and built...very nice work! What do people do for the 5 battery kit you sell? This is quite large for a 5 battery kit, no?

Question:

The description says: "This new SOK 12-slot rack has built-in slots for heaters and/or AC units," Which split units was this designed for? Are there are any examples of this unit with HVAC system installed (pictures)?

Answer:

Currently there are not any AC units that are recommended to work with it. Finding a unit that would work as intended is still underway, but it is unsure as to when it will be determined.

Question:

Are there bolts at the top and bottom (or maybe the middle) of the busbars to connect the battery cables from the two battery stacks to the inverter(s), say two pair of 4/0 cable?

There are bolts on the top that can be used for inverter connections.

Question:

Do you know if Pytes 48100 batteries would fit? They appear deeper than other rack mount batteries (24.41 inches).

Answer:

No, the Pytes 48100 would not fit as they are too deep for the racking system. It would not be able to close properly.
